Studies for Regular Smokers:
Researchers at UPMC are looking to enroll healthy adult smokers ages 18-65. This research is examining the influence of brief uses of FDA-approved nicotine patch or nicotine nasal spray on mood and behavior. The study involves a brief physical exam and five sessions lasting two hours each. Eligible participants who complete all sessions will receive up to $250, or $20 per hour. This is NOT a treatment study.
UPMC seeks healthy adult smokers ages 18-65 who regularly smoke. This research is examining how smokers respond to cigarettes that are low in nicotine. There are up to seven sessions lasting about three hours each. Research study participants will be compensated up to $60 per session, or $20 per hour.
